Welcome to the website of Lawrence A. Edwards, Ph.D., from The Psychology Group. Dr. Edwards is a Licensed Psychologist/Health Service Provider with a focus on child, adolescent, adult, geriatric, couples, marital, and family therapy. He also provides psychological evaluations, including psychoeducational evaluations for learning related difficulties and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. In addition, Dr. Edwards is a provider, as well as certified instructor, in the area of Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). Dr. Edwards is also a member of the American Psychological Association and the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.

About Dr. Edwards

Dr. Edwards is a Licensed Psychologist, knowledgeable in therapy treatment for children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, couples, and families. His educational background includes:
- Bachelor of Science in Psychology
University of Utah, 1989.
- Master of Arts in Psychology
Hofstra University, Long Island, New York, 1990.
- Ph.D. in Clinical/School Psychology

To continue his education and experience, Dr. Edwards also completed a Clinical Psychology internship at the Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Ft. Gordon, GA, in 1994. Upon completion of his internship, Dr. Edwards served as the Chief, Human Factors Branch, US Army School of Aviation Medicine in Fort Rucker, Alabama, and as Regimental Psychologist, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Prior to joining The Psychology Group, Dr. Edwards had been with Centerstone, Inc.in Nashville, Tennessee, where he was the Director, Crisis & Referral Services for over five years. Dr. (Lt Col) Edwards is also a Medical Service Corps Officer with the 118th Airlift Wing of the Tennessee Air National Guard. His work in the past has focused on traditional areas of psychology, including child, adolescent, adult, geriatric, couples, marital, and family therapy, as well as psychological evaluations, including psychoeducational evaluations for learning related difficulties. In addition, Dr. Edwards is a provider, as well as a certified instructor, in the area of Critical Incident Stress Management.
