Welcome to the website of Christopher A. Edwards, Ph.D., from The Psychology Group. Dr. Edwards is a licensed Psychologist/Health Service Provider with a focus on child, adult, and family therapy, and a particular focus on dealing with children and adolescents. He also provides psychological evaluations, including psychoeducational evaluations for learning related difficulties and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, as well as services in the area of Critical Incident Stress Management. Dr. Edwards is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Tennessee Psychological Association and the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.

About Dr. Edwards

Dr. Edwards is a licensed Psychologist, knowledgeable in therapy treatment for children, adults, and families. His educational background includes:
- Bachelor of Science in Psychology
University of Utah, 1990.
- Master of Arts in Psychology
Hofstra University, Long Island, New York, 1991.
- Ph.D. in Clinical/School Psychology
Hofstra University, Long Island, New York, 1994. |
To continue his education and experience, Dr. Edwards also completed a Clinical Psychology internship at the Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Ft. Gordon, GA, in 1995. He also served as a Clinical Psychologist with the United States Army from 1994-1998, working with soldiers and their family members within conventional forces, as well as working within the U.S. Army Special Operations Command.
Dr. Edwards has had a private practice in Cookeville, Tennessee, since 1999, providing child, adult, and family therapy, with a particular emphasis in working with children and adolescents. He also provides psychological evaluations, including psychoeducational evaluations for learning related difficulties, and services for Critical Incident Stress Management.
